In the world of custom car mods, there are some projects that are so ridiculous, they're actually brilliant. This is definitely one of them, a Ferrari 458 Spider that's been fitted with a widebody kit from Japanese aftermarket tuner Liberty Walk.
Its makers, SR Auto, say that it's the first one in Canada, but we'd wager that it's the only one done this way in the world. Sure, there are other LW Ferraris, but this one has a sexy black paintjob, massive red wheels from PUR and an interior that demands attention.
We've seen it before, but the muscular V8 supercar has taken advantage of the Spring weather to go out and strut its stuff. The famous founder of the tuning company, Kato Wataru, visited the Canadian auto show and checked out the Ferrari, the GT-R rat rod from Matt Damon's Elysium and even a tiny pedal car for kids. If you've never seen a grown man inside a Power Wheels Lamborghini, now's your chance!
Needless to say, the widebody 458 Spider looks absolutely stunning under the natural sunlight, where the lines and the bright red accents just pop out even more. Despite its aggressive looks, the Ferrari has a lot of factory parts. For example, we bet that the bold red leather interior was actually put together in Maranello.
But Enzo himself probably never imagined that his name would be associated with a mid-engined supercar that's been tuned in Canada with parts from Japan.
